HANDS-ON Congenital Heart Disease
Saturday, April 25, 2015 | 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM

3D printed heart models derived from two patients with double outlet right ventricle and one patient with hypoplastic left heart syndrome will be made available to the attendees. Technique for repair will be demonstrated by Dr. Glen VanArsdell on each model and attendees will have the opportunity to perform the repairs on their own models. Surgeons will be divided into groups of 2. There will be 3 models for each group with the plan for each surgeon to perform a repair on each model. Surgeons may wish to bring their surgical loupes. If their practice is to wear a light with their loupes, that could be brought as well. Also consider bringing your favorite Castro-Viejo needle holder and forceps.
